View our Cooperstown games schedule and watch games online

The schedule for the first several games the Westside Warriors will play at Dreams Park in Cooperstown is now available. Click here to view it or click on the "Cooperstown games schedule" link at the top of our Web page. Note that only the first six games (two apiece on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week) are currently slotted; yet-to-be-scheduled tournament elimination games begin thereafter. Be aware that any game is subject to rescheduling due to inclement weather or otherwise.

Also, please tell your friends and family to watch our games online, which can be viewed at Dreams Park TV (click here for the link, or click on the "Watch our Cooperstown games live" link on the top of our Web page). Note that each viewer will need to create a free account the first time they visit that link, and then log in each time they want to watch one of our games. Once on the Dreams Park TV Website, click the "Live Games" link to see the latest action from one of the baseball fields at Cooperstown Dreams Park.

You may also choose to view "On-Demand" any past games from this season, as they are made available. Be sure to tune in for the championship game broadcast on Thursday, August 5.

Warriors bring the "D"

There's more to the game than getting timely hits and scoring runs. Good pitching and solid defense are the key to winning ball games, as evidenced in our latest Westside Warriors highlight reel, which focuses on fastballs and fine fielding observed over the last several games.

(Please note that this video is pulled from the best footage available that was recorded; it's difficult to shoot defensive plays without a zoom/telephoto lens, so only footage of infield plays were usable.)

Warriors greatest hits

Want to see a replay of some of the best hits by your Westside Warriors 2010 Cooperstown team during our game vs. Elmhurst on May 10? Click here to watch a YouTube video just posted. Note: the battery on the video camera died before the end of the game, so this only includes hits (shown in order) through the first few innings. Also, the music continues playing a little after the video runs out (blame it on sloppy editing). Enjoy!

We're looking for a few good photos

We'd like to start posting photos of our team to the Westside Baseball Web site soon (not our blog site; click here to see the Westside site) and need your help. Once the team photo is taken, that can be scanned in and uploaded, but we also want to post photos of our players taken during games and practices.

Please email to cooperstown-2010@googlegroups.com any good images you've photographed or will photograph with your digital camera whenever you have one, and provide some identification (name of player, game/date, etc.). These shots should be at least medium resolution (say 200 dpi/ppi resolution, which usually equates to around at least 2" x 4" and 100 kb in size) and JPG file format.

If you need help preparing a photo to email, feel free to email Erik a question at thewrite1@sbcglobal.net.

P.S.--We can also embed a YouTube video link on our Web site (I think), so if you shoot any video of one of our games and upload it to YouTube (or need help doing so), please let Erik know.

Introducing your Westside Warriors 2010 pin logo

In case you didn't get a peek yet at the official team pin logo we voted on a couple
meetings back, here it is to the right, as designed by Dan Quigley.

Thanks to all the runners up who submitted a logo design. If you'd like to have your the logo you created posted on our Web site, please bring a paper copy of it to next team meeting and give it to Erik.
